Understanding Your Ethical Obligations- The CLE will cover legal malpractice/attorney liability defenses with a portion of the lecture covering third-party cyber liability against attorneys. Specifically, the course will present information on suggestions to reduce the probability of legal malpractice claims, attorney liability defenses, and will also cover third-party cyber liability claims against attorneys.
We will be discussing matter intake, conflict checks, exiting the file, managing client expectations, and billing practices, including suits for fees. We will also be discussing a lawyer’s ethical obligations, including a lawyer’s duty to protect confidentiality and the client’s electronic data.
